Welcome to the Hawkeye Area Council

The Hawkeye Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, proudly serves the youth in Benton, Cedar, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, Linn & Washington Counties. The Council provides programs to over 6,000 youth each year. As one of the area's largest youth programs, the BSA provides a program that builds character, teaches valuable life skills, and allows youth to have fun while learning.

2015 Summer Camp Brochure

The Hawkeye Area Council is diligently preparing for quality a 2015 summer camp season at the Howard H. Cherry Scout Reservation (including Camp Wakonda & Camp Waubeek).

National Youth Leadership Training is an exciting, action packed program designed to provide youth members of the Boy Scouts of America with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home troops and in any other situations demanding leadership of self and leadership of others.

Money Smart Week - 2015 Scout Night Recently Added Content

Cub Scouts (1st-6th Grades) & Girl Scouts are joining efforts to work on money badges and achievements. Scouts will learn many money concepts at several stations taught by Money Smart Week partners from local banks, credit unions, & financial businesses. Fun! Treats! Great Pack or Troop Meeting! Space is limited; RSVP's are required by April 1!
