For the third year in a row, and the fifth year in the past six, Cho-Gun-Mun-A-Nock Lodge has received the coveted National Service Award.
The National Service Award was established in 1999 to recognize lodges in each region that have performed outstanding service, both in a qualitative and a quantitative sense, to their council. The National Service Award Petition is submitted along with the lodge recharter application. To be considered for the National Service Award, a lodge must be certified as a National Quality Lodge the year in which the National Service Award Petition is submitted. Only two lodges per region will be granted the National Service Award each year.
Cho-Gun-Mun-A-Nock clocked in with over 10,000 recorded service hours in 2008, 3,500 of which were spent on flood recovery. It is a high honor to have earned this award not only once, but 5 times since it was created in 1999. Congratulations to all lodge members, and let us continue to look forward to giving cheerful service to our camp, our community, and our country!
Cho-Gun-Mun-A-Nock Lodge has received the National Service Award in 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, and 2008!
