You must be a registered user to this site and logged in to take the online training.
Please sign in and click on Program Support, Training,Youth Protection, Youth Protection Online Training. If you are not a registered user of our site, please click on the button at the top right hand of your screen that says register, then follow the above instructions.
When taking Youth Protection Training Online:
- Input information exactly as it appears on your current membership card. Cards went out to all units in their charter packets. If you can not find your card, you may email scunningham@hawkeyebsa.org and the information will be sent to you.
- When entering your address you must use proper postal abbreviations and no punctuation. (Use Ave not Avenue; use 5th, not Fifth; use IA, not Iowa; etc.)
- On completion of the course, you should receive an automated email message that contains your card. You must give your email address in order for this to happen. If your program blocks email, you may have to deactivate blocking temporarily. If you do not receive an email, you may contact the Council Service Center.
- The Council can generate a report that lists everyone who completed the course and whether they were matched to the Hawkeye Area Council system.
- The names of unmatched people, who are registered with the Council, are being given to John Birkland IV, training committee professional, so cards can be generated.
If you are not from the Hawkeye Area Council, you are welcome to take the course through our site, but the program will not be able to match your record.
If your council does not offer Youth Protection Training Online, please request that they add it to their site.
