Leadership Biographies
Kelly Hayworth, Council President
Kelly is the City Administrator for the City of Coralville and is currently President of the Board of Directors of Hawkeye Area Council. He also serves as Scoutmaster of Troop 207 where his son is a Life Scout, and is a Merit Badge Counselor. Kelly was involved in Scouting as a youth and attained the rank of Life Scout. Kelly was selected as one of the top ten most influential people in the area by the Corridor Business Journal. He is a member of the Thursday Noon Rotary Club of Iowa City.
Mike Kriegermeier, Council Commissioner
Mike is a Crew Leader with MidAmerican Energy Company in Cedar Rapids. Mike is currently the Council Commissioner and has held most leadership positions in the Pack and Troop. He has served as district chair and district commissioner. He was in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts as a youth and attained the rank of First Class. Mike has three sons who are Eagle Scouts, and two grandsons involved in Cub Scouts.
Travis Christopher, Scout Executive/CEO
Travis has served Scout Councils in Minneapolis, MN; Sioux Falls, SD and Appleton, WI. Travis was a law enforcement Explorer as a youth which led him to his first career as a Crime Prevention Specialist in the Twin Cities. After joining the Scouting movement in the late 1990's he has been involved in District Operations, fundraising and governance. Travis is a Vigil member of the Order of the Arrow and is active with Rotary and his church. Travis has been awarded the St. George medal for Scouting.
