POPCORN FOR PATRIOTS
Popcorn for Patriots is a community service project that Scouts can participate in during our fall popcorn sale.
- Community members can sponsor a package of gourmet popcorn to be sent to any soldier currently serving.
- Community members and scouting units may submit a soldier’s address in January.
- Scouts and the community in general provide notes of encouragement that are sent in each box.
- This year 82 Scouts and their families helped package 3,051 bags of popcorn into 240 boxes that were sent all over the world.
- An email is provided for them to communicate back to Scouts in the Hawkeye Area Council.

The Hawkeye Area Council offers over 15 varieties of gourmet popcorn, popped fresh for our customers.
Scouts in the Hawkeye Area Council learn valuable entrepreneurial skills while helping thier Unit provide funding for programs, adventures, equipment, awards, etc.
