Tiger Cub den leaders, Cub Scout den leaders, Webelos den leaders, Cubmasters and pack committee members complete this training in approximately 2½ hours. The leader is considered trained upon completion of New Leader Essentials and the Leader Specific training for that position. When moving to a new position, you need to be retrained in that specific position (ex.-Tiger Cub Leader becomes Den Leader, Den Leader becomes Webelos Den Leader, etc.).This training will be held at the CRST Training Center at 16th Ave SW in Cedar Rapids on Sunday March 14th from 1-4 pm

For Scoutmasters and assistant Scoutmasters, this training is one of a three part series. Parts one and two concentrate on troop operation and can be completed in two three hour session. The third part, which focuses on outdoor skills, is a weekend camping experience. The skills taught are based on the outdoor skills found in the Boy Scout Handbook. The course is also ideal for Venturing leaders because it focuses on skills that build confidence and competence in leaders conducting outdoor camping experiences.
